2024 CDA Regional Chamber Board Chair

Dear Members of the Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber,

As 2024 draws to a close, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for your unwavering leadership, support, and dedication to our mission. Together, we have accomplished so much this year, and your contributions have been the driving force behind our many successes.

Among the highlights of 2024, we:

  1. Modernized the Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber brand, enhancing our ability to attract and retain modern, tech-savvy businesses that are shaping the future of our community.
  2. Restructured member levels and benefits, ensuring they are relevant and valuable in today’s dynamic business environment.
  3. Expanded the reach and impact of our scholarship program, awarding $2,000 scholarships to 115 students, helping them pursue their post-secondary education goals.
  4. Launched quarterly community conversations in partnership with Kootenai Health and North Idaho College. These forums have fostered awareness and dialogue around critical issues affecting the health and well-being of our community.
  5. Revised our Chamber bylaws, positioning us to better serve the ever-evolving needs of our business community.
  6. Strengthened our focus on civic engagement, with initiatives like candidate forums and new event and communication strategies designed to educate and empower our community to make informed choices and vote.
  7. Hosted the Idaho State Legislative Tour, a pivotal event that strengthened relationships and collaboration between business leaders, legislators, and community partners across the state.

These achievements are a testament to what we can accomplish when we work together with a shared vision for a thriving business environment and a vibrant community.

While we have much to celebrate, there is still important work ahead. Together, we can continue to build on this momentum to ensure our businesses and economy not only thrive but set a standard of excellence for the region.

As I transition leadership to our incoming Chair, Tyrel Stevenson, Legislative Director for the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, I do so with immense confidence. Tyrel brings a wealth of experience, insight, and a deep commitment to fostering collaboration and growth. I know he will lead with distinction and continue to strengthen the foundation we have built together.

Looking ahead, I am filled with optimism for the collective impact we will drive in the coming year. Thank you for your continued investment of time, energy, and financial support. Your commitment ensures we can achieve our mission and build a brighter future for all.

With sincere gratitude,

Doug Elliott
