Coeur d’Alene’s 4th of July Celebration is one of the highlights of summer in this scenic area of the country. In fact, on average, 73,000 people come to our beautiful city to participate in our region’s largest celebration of the year! The Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber, along with our presenting sponsor, Idaho Central Credit Union, is once again proud to host the city’s 4th of July celebration, featuring this year’s theme, America the Beautiful.
Pride in all that our nation stands for runs strong in our beloved community, and it is only fitting that the highlight of our festivities is the American Heroes Parade, where our community joins together to pay tribute to veterans and active-duty service members. Coeur d’Alene is second to none in honoring our service members both past and present for their courageous service in safeguarding the nation’s freedoms and values. This year, we will continue to share our heartfelt appreciation for their extraordinary contributions.
Bands, dancers, all kinds of community groups, and businesses have the opportunity to join our parade, and all are invited to apply to participate in our all-star line-up. Starting at 10:00 am, the parade serves as a kick-off for the day’s celebrations, as people from all over descend upon downtown CDA to participate in this annual tradition, Businesses in the downtown area will be ready to welcome our visitors and parade goers alike. McEuen Park, the beach, and City Park will be filled with picnickers, hikers, beach-goers, and others celebrating Independence Day!
This year’s celebration also includes an artwork contest hosted by the CDA Regional Chamber. This year’s theme is America the Beautiful, and the winning entry will be featured on posters and T-shirts. The Parade’s Grand Marshal has yet to be announced, and the community is excitedly anticipating who will be selected for this honor of leading the parade. Have you sent in your nomination? You can also participate by volunteering with the CDA Regional Chamber to help organize and run this year’s parade. As usual, the evening will end with a spectacular fireworks show brought to you by the Hagadone Corporation after the sun goes down around 9:45 pm.
