A LEGACY OF GIVING, CULTURE, AND COMMUNITY
Owned and operated by the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, a sovereign nation, the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel is truly special—it stands as a symbol of vision, culture, and community impact. What began as a dream rooted in heritage and self-determination has become a cornerstone of North Idaho’s economy—contributing an estimated $330 million annually to the state.
Our CDA Regional Chamber and region are profoundly blessed by the Coeur d’Alene Tribe’s presence—by their unmatched generosity, steadfast leadership, and deep commitment to building a stronger, more connected community. Their influence reaches far beyond economic impact; it enriches the very heart and spirit of our region.
ONE OF THE REGION’S LARGEST EMPLOYERS
The Coeur d’Alene Tribe directly employs more than 1,000 people, making it one of the region’s top employers. Of those, over 800 team members work at the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel during peak season. Beyond offering jobs, the Tribe and its enterprises provide stability, growth, and opportunity to countless families in the region.
“WELCOME HOME” – THE HEART OF GUEST EXPERIENCE
Hospitality at the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel goes far beyond great service—it’s a reflection of the Tribe’s cultural value of genuine welcome. The words “Welcome Home” guide every guest interaction, echoing the Tribe’s deep-rooted belief in connection, respect, and generosity. Visitors feel it from the moment they arrive, and it’s what keeps them coming back.
A TRADITION OF GIVING BACK
For the Coeur d’Alene Tribe and its casino resort, giving back isn’t just something they do—it’s who they are. Over the years, they’ve contributed more than $36 million to local schools and continue to support hundreds of nonprofits and community programs across Idaho and the Inland Northwest.
In 2019, the Tribe launched Coeur Connections, giving their community initiatives a dedicated name and focus—an extension of their enduring commitment to lift others and strengthen the region.
ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP AND SERVICE
The Tribe’s respect for the land is evident in their environmental practices and volunteerism. The resort’s Circling Raven Golf Club—consistently ranked among the nation’s top courses—is irrigated with recycled water, demonstrating a thoughtful balance between recreation and conservation.
Each year, team members volunteer in the casino resort’s annual highway cleanup, preserving the beauty of the lands surrounding Highways 95 and 58 near the resort.
CELEBRATING NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH
November holds special meaning as Native American Heritage Month, and the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel celebrates by sharing the Tribe’s culture through its annual Winter Blessing event. This free community gathering features storytelling, dance, and fry bread—a heartfelt way to share Coeur d’Alene Tribal traditions and prepare for the coming winter.
The event also launches the resort’s Winter Blessing Giving Program, in partnership with Mountain 93.7 Radio, benefiting local charities and families throughout the holiday season.
BUILDING A STRONG FUTURE—TOGETHER
Supporting the community is at the core of the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel’s mission. From sponsorships to hands-on volunteer work, their commitment to Idaho and the Inland Northwest continues to make a lasting difference.
As they honor their past and celebrate their culture, the Coeur d’Alene Tribe remains steadfast in its focus on innovation, stewardship, and community prosperity—ensuring that the people, lands, and waters of this region thrive for generations to come.
Our community is truly stronger, more vibrant, and more united because of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe’s leadership and example. Through their generosity and guiding spirit, they remind us all what it means to say—and to live—“Welcome Home.”
