Coeur d’Alene, Idaho – The Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber and City of Coeur d’Alene are gearing up for a full day of patriotic festivities on Friday, July 4, 2025, including the beloved American Heroes Parade, fireworks over the lake, and family fun throughout downtown. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, the Chamber has released the official traffic routes, road closures, and parking plan for the day.

- 12:00 PM – No parking signage posted along Sherman Avenue in preparation for:
- The Kiddie Parade (effective July 3, 7:00AM – 11:00 AM)
- The American Heroes Parade (effective July 4, 4:00 AM – 1:00 PM)
Thursday, July 3 | Kiddie Parade
- 8:00 AM – Soft closures begin on Sherman Ave. from 1st to 11th St.
- 9:00 AM – Kiddie Parade staging begins on Sherman Ave. from 8th to 11th St.
- 9:00 AM – Full closure of Sherman Ave. from 1st to 8th St. (entire parade route)
- 10:00 AM – Kiddie Parade begins 8th & Sherman, proceeds west to 1st St.
- 11:00 AM – All roads reopen
Friday, July 4 | American Heroes Parade
- 5:00 AM – Soft closures begin on Sherman Ave. (Government Way to 23rd St.)
- 6:00 AM – All vehicles parked on Sherman Ave. will be towed. (Gov’t Way to 23rd St.)
- 6:30 AM – Hard closure begins for parade staging. (Sherman Ave. from 15th St. to 23rd St.)
- 9:00 AM – Full parade route closure from 1st St. to 15th St on Sherman Ave.

- American Heroes Parade begins at 10:00 AM, starting at 15th St. and proceeding west on Sherman Ave.
- 1:00 PM – All roads reopen.
Recommended Travel Routes to/from Downtown Coeur d’Alene on July 3 and 4
- From the west side of the city: Use Northwest Boulevard exit from I-90.
- From the east side of the city: Use 23rd Street/Sherman Avenue exit from I-90.
- To access The Coeur d’Alene Resort, use either:
- 1st Street (from the north side of the city) to travel south to the Resort, or
- Mullan to Front Street (from the south side of the city) to travel west to the Resort.

$20 Special Event Parking (All-Day Pass): Available at the following downtown locations:

- Coeur d’Alene Public Library lot

- Independence Point lot
- City Park lot
- Memorial Field/Carousel lot

Free Parking
- North Idaho College parking lots and along E. Rosenberry Drive
- All legal street parking throughout Coeur d’Alene
- Note: 2-hour parking limits will be enforced in the downtown corridor.
- No street parking allowed on Sherman Ave. between 5:00 AM and 1:00 PM on July 4.
