A COMMUNITY CELEBRATION HONORING SERVICE, SACRIFICE AND STRENGTH
When emergencies strike, our first responders are the ones who answer the call—whether rushing into burning buildings, arriving at the scene of an accident, or standing guard to keep our neighborhoods safe. They are our protectors, our rescuers, and our everyday heroes.
This year has been especially difficult for our community as we grieve the loss of two courageous firefighters and stand with the one who continues to work hard toward recovery after the Canfield incident on June 30. Their stories remind us of the real dangers first responders face, not just in moments of crisis but in the lasting impact on their lives and families.
BREAKFAST WITH OUR HEROES
This fall, the Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber invites you to join us for the inaugural Breakfast with Our Heroes: A First Responder Tribute, Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Best Western Plus Coeur d’Alene Inn from 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM.
This special community event is designed to honor the men and women of the Coeur d’Alene Police Department, Coeur d’Alene Fire Department, Kootenai County Fire & Rescue, Kootenai County EMS Systems, Coeur d’Alene Tribal Police, Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, Kootenai County Search & Rescue, Post Falls Police Department, Northern Lakes Fire Department, and the Idaho State Police.
At this event, we will take a moment to remember those we’ve lost, recognize the resilience of those still recovering, and show our appreciation for all who continue to serve. We will also acknowledge the unseen challenges many first responders quietly face, including PTSD, depression, and anxiety. This is our opportunity as a community to stand together and say: we see you, we value you, and we support you.
A MORNING OF COMMUNITY AND CONNECTION
The breakfast program will feature a keynote address, agency recognitions, and awards presented to each of our first responder organizations. In addition, every agency will host a showcase table, giving attendees the chance to learn more about their work, upcoming initiatives, and connect with the individuals behind the uniforms.
As Board Chair of the Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber, Tyrel Stevenson of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe expressed the importance of this moment: “Our business community is deeply honored to stand alongside our first responders—those who put their lives on the line every single day for our safety and well-being. Breakfast with Our Heroes is our chance to say thank you for the magnitude of their service and sacrifice. Especially after the heartbreak our community has felt this year, it means so much to come together, remember, and show our unwavering gratitude. This celebration is a reflection of how much our community values and supports those who protect us.”
WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS
First responders give selflessly, often at great personal cost. Now, it’s our turn to give back. By attending this event, you join neighbors, business leaders, and community members in demonstrating that we care deeply about the people who protect us.
Local businesses are also invited to take an active role by sponsoring an award for one of the agencies. Sponsorship provides the chance to provide a table of 8 complimentary tickets for your preferred agency, be recognized as a community partner, and most importantly, to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with those who serve. Your support helps ensure this event becomes a lasting tradition in our region.
