The primary mission of the Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce is to advocate for an environment that ensures the health and prosperity of our communities through strong and healthy businesses. Together, we advocate for tax policies and a regulatory environment that supports opportunities for growth, job creation, and profitability which strengthens the economic vitality of our community and our region.

Education and Workforce Development
Through partnerships with our regional educational systems, our chamber provides access to resources and training to help businesses and individuals thrive. We offer seminars, mentorship programs, and partnerships with educational institutions to ensure a skilled and ready workforce.
Economic Development
Our chamber supports the Coeur d’Alene Area Economic Development Corporation (CDAEDC) to promote local businesses, attract new companies, and support entrepreneurship. Add Tech Hub Example. We organize events like business expos, networking sessions, and workshops that foster economic growth and job creation.
Advocacy
One of our core responsibilities is to represent the interests of local businesses to government bodies and policymakers. Through partnerships with Idaho Chamber Alliance, Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry, we lobby for favorable regulations, tax policies, and infrastructure improvements that benefit the business community and the wider population.
Community Engagement
We collaborate with local organizations, schools, and non-profits to address community needs. We support community events, volunteer drives, and charitable initiatives that enhance the quality of life in their area.
Networking Opportunities
By bringing together business owners, entrepreneurs, and community leaders, chambers create a platform for networking and collaboration. This can lead to new business opportunities, partnerships, and collective problem-solving.
Tourism Promotion

Kootenai Health provides a comprehensive range of medical services to patients in northern Idaho and throughout the Inland Northwest. The main campus is located in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and includes a 299-bed community-owned hospital. Kootenai is accredited by DNV and holds Magnet Designation for nursing excellence. It is a verified Level Two Trauma Center, a Center of Excellence for hip and knee replacement, a Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospital, and has received an “A” rating for Safety and an “A” rating for Financial Stewardship. Kootenai has also been named a Gallup Great Workplace award winner.
Kootenai Health is a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, a national network of organizations that share a commitment to better serving patients and their families. Through this relationship, Kootenai Health physicians have access to Mayo Clinic’s knowledge and expertise which allows many patients to avoid unnecessary travel for answers to complex medical questions.
