Mission, Goals, Strategic Plan
2006-2010
In 2000, the Board of Directors adopted a five-year
Strategic Plan for the Chamber. That Plan has recently been modified to guide the Chamber
through 2010. What follow are the key elements of that plan.

To be the premier business organization providing
leadership to our community.
Our Mission:
To promote, support, and advocate for our members,
strengthen the economic climate of the Coeur d'Alene Area,
further the free enterprise system, and promote the wise
management of our area's natural resources to protect and
enhance our Quality of Life.
Our Values:
- Leadership: Providing visionary leadership by looking at
the big picture and the long term in formulating policies
and positions.
- Diversity: Welcoming the involvement and participation of
all peoples in our programs and activities and recognizing
the benefits that such involvement brings to the
organization.
- Proactive: Poised to be proactive so that the Chamber can
positively and creatively respond to challenges and
opportunities.
- Collaboration: Partnering with stakeholders in addressing
common issues and opportunities throughout our region.
- Business Driven: Always acting in the best interests of
our members.
- High Quality: Conducting all activities so as to bring
credit to our community and our members.
Strategic Objectives
- Continue to improve and enhance the business climate
of the Coeur d'Alene area to promote and protect the
interests of our members.
- Take an active role in planning for our area's growth and
development to ensure our maintenance of a vibrant economy
and wonderful quality of life.
- Serve as the front door to Coeur d'Alene and North
Idaho and serve as the central resource center for visitor
and business information in our community.
- Represent the Coeur d'Alene area business community in
local, regional, state and federal legislative issues.
- Promote Coeur d'Alene as a tourism destination through
event creation and organization and brand marketing.
- Support quality educational programs at all levels
including professional technical education and workforce
development programs to ensure a supply of trained employees
for our members.
- Maintain a fiscally sound organization so as to
accomplish the goals of our members.
